*A note on the Tanning Process*. Most hides and leather are tanned using Chromium, a heavy metal, which is extremely polluting to the waterways and to the workers in the factories who do the tanning. We now have available Vegetable Tanned Hides from Europe which are tanned by craftsmen, often working alone. The by products are carefully disposed of so as not to pollute waterways, and the ingredients used are safe and non-toxic.
Plain one-colour hides also available to order. We also keep other hides such as deer, wild boar, goat, sheep etc. Vegetable tanned hides. We usually have a good variety of sizes and colours so give us a call without obligation to see if we have what you are looking for.
